Weather Policy
Our first priority in any weather-related decision is our athletes’ safety. Our goal is always to practice/play through any weather conditions (including rain and short periods of heavy rain), however, if weather forecasts, field & driving conditions jeopardize our players’ safety, we will cancel.
Tackle Football
2025 Tackle Season Begins August 1st

Teams are age based determined by the athletes age on August 1st. and will be made after registration has closed (there is a possibility of moving players up depending on registration numbers)

Once teams are made you will receive communication from your coach with practice information

CFF makes the game schedule for the season. Games generally begin late August and runs through the end of October. Teams do have the opportunity to advance to Regionals and Nationals which extends the season (age and division minimum requirements apply)

Practice Guidlines
The first day of practice will be August 1st (if not on a Sunday). During the month of August, teams will practice Monday - Thursday from 6:00-8:30pm. After the school year begins, practices will go down to 2 hours (6:00-8:00pm), 3 days a week, typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Tackle football participants should wear shorts, t-shirts, and cleats until told otherwise by their coach. All athletes need a mouthguard at all practices regardless of whether they are in full pads or not. After completing 10 hours of conditioning, players will begin wearing practice uniforms and full pads. You are to not wear football equipment until advised to do so.

Every participant should bring a water bottle to every practice.

Registration fee

​​​$150 covers expenses directly related to each program such as equipment, uniforms, insurance, etc.

$100 covers the general and administrative expenses of CPWA
CPWA Football equipment deposit
$40.00
Helps offset the cost of damaged and lost equipment. This fee is REFUNDABLE once all equipment is returned at the end of the season.

Covers the cost of named/personalized football jerseys that is yours to KEEP at the end of the season!
Late Registration Fee

Explanation of Fees
As a non-profit, 501(c)3 and an all volunteer run organization a registration fee is required to offer programs.
CPWA is proud to be one of the least expensive Pop Warner organizations.

$150 of the registration fee covers all costs that are directly related back to football.
Some examples are (not inclusive):
Helmets, Shoulder pads, Pants/Socks, Decals, Team Packs, Coaches Certifications, Post-season/misc. expense, Lights, Intro Music (if applicable), Misc. Equipment

$100 of the registration fee is what keeps our organization afloat.
It covers all our general and administrative expenses. Some examples are (not inclusive):
Insurance, Mailbox rental, Referees, Porta-pots, Trash Pick Up, CFF dues, JCPS home field fee, Game day CvHS onsite coach, Tax preparation, Office supplies / misc. (i.e. field maintenance), Bowl Game Expenses, Registration/Website Fees, Background checks, Concessions, Pop Warner patches, Office rent / Storage (as needed)

Portions of the registration fee can be fundraised.
CPWA does have opportunities for various fundraisers throughout the season.
